The Extension’s single purpose is to provide a subtitle-based dictation / language-learning experience on Netflix by detecting subtitle responses on Netflix pages and helping users practice typing (dictation) and related learning actions.

2. Data We Collect & Use

A) User Input (Dictation Text)

• What: Text you type into the Extension’s dictation UI (e.g., your answer).
• Why: To compare it with the expected subtitle text and provide learning feedback/functions.
• Where processed: Locally within the Extension (Chrome).

B) Netflix Subtitle Content (TTML / Subtitle Text)

• What: Subtitle text retrieved from Netflix subtitle responses (e.g., TTML).
• Why: To display/align subtitles and to compute “expected text” for dictation features.
• Where processed: Only on Netflix pages, locally within the Extension.

C) Extension Settings (Local Storage)

• What: Extension preferences (e.g., feature on/off, preferred language/track settings).
• Why: To persist your configuration between sessions.
• Where stored: chrome.storage.local (on your device).
